I just received the January /February 2010 issue of CRS Magazine in the mail today.  Wow was I thrilled to see my name in an article featuring website technology on page 12!  I had a notion that I might be mentioned when I was contacted by the magazine a few months ago.  The reporter, Andrea Orr, talked to me about the success I had with my web site.  We discussed how important I feel it is to blog and to create unique "hyper-local" content for my site. According to a recent profile of home buyers and sellers, conducted by the National Association of REALTORS®, over 87% of current home buyers utilize the internet to assist them in their home search.   It makes sense that if 87 of 100 people are looking for their next home online, I concentrate my marketing efforts toward online buyers, incorporating the internet into my marketing strategies. Today's buyers are tech savvy, information driven and demand interactive content.  Before they ever pick up the phone, they want to search for listings see more images, virtual tours and acquire as much information as possible... all in less time.

Home buyers that use the Internet to find their home spend an average of two weeks researching potential homes while non-internet users spend an average of seven! The simple fact is that in order to get buyers attention I need to deliver much more than fancy wording and a snapshot of the front of a home.  In the article Orr states that many REALTORS® have seen business surge after expanding their Web presence with virtual tours and other content that make their properties come to life on screen, and I agree.

It is no secret that the face of real estate has changed dramatically over the past three years and the internet has made it much easier for potential customers to find homes in St. Augustine.   I want the sellers who have entrusted their properties to my marketing expertise to get as much exposure as possible.  I use Virtual Tours, Blogging and Search Engine Optimization to provide incredible exposure for my listings.  I believe that in order to be successful in today's market, today's agent must employ a combination of effective online and offline marketing strategies. "This knowledge and recognition can only enhance your capabilities to serve your buyers and sellers and will make 2010 another outstanding and productive year for you." Commends William A. Watson, Jr., Chairman of the Board, Watson Realty Corp., REALTORS®
