How to Recycle just about ANYTHING

I am ashamed to admit, I was a violator. I used to toss my defunct batteries right into the kitchen trash basket. I gave no thought that they would end up in landfills and then enter our environment causing serious health risks.

Fortunately, over the last 10 years I have become more aware of my environment, I have become GREEN. I recycle and reuse, seldom replacing anything. I have special baskets in my garage for bottles, and newspapers and yes, even batteries.
An e-mail from NAR caught my eye this morning. The newsletter featured a site www.Earth 911.com. It is a great place to find out where to deposit everything from batteries, appliances and toxins.  Just enter your zip code for local listings.

Check it out and find where to recycle in your neighborhood. Let all help our environment by becoming the green resource in your community.
